Photographing the moon is a tricky process because the moon is continually changing its phase and the amount of light that it emits. The orbit of the moon around the earth is also very different to the sun. Sometimes the moon rises at night, and sometimes it rises in the morning, but moon always rises in the east and sets in the west.
